Pretty Container

Using this box from the Target-Liberty of London line as inspiration:
I'm giving this box a make-over:

I call it blah to...

TADA! -- neatly cover up the box with fabric
in an uber-chic print.

Then use it to stylishly hold your
gizmos & gadgets!

  9. Hi Claire,

This is fabulous! How'd you make it look so great? I tried this idea a while back, but mine didn't turn out so nice.

  10. Thanks everyone for your enthusiasm with this blah to TADA! project :) Here's what I did:
    (1) Measure a strip of fabric to cover the
sides of box. Add an extra half inch on
all sides before cutting the fabric.
Cut fabric & attach to box with hot glue.
Stretch the fabric as you go along & tuck
the extra edges to the inside & bottom of
    the box.
    (2) Cover the bottom of the box(outer & inner)
with felt (or fabric that doesn't fray).
Attach with hot glue. This will neatly
cover the edges of the fabric used for
    the sides.
    (3) Cut 4 pieces of cardboard to fit the inner
sides of the box. Cover these with fabric
(attach with hot glue). Attach each piece
to the inside of the box with hot glue.

Make sure to measure well, tuck the fabric
neatly and you'll have a cute box!
